We are a thoroughly informal food and wine appreciation society. We've been around for about 10 years now, and we meet roughly once a month, usually in Cambridge.
If you think wine tastings should be pompous, snobbish and stuffy, then we're not for you. Our aim is to give people an enjoyable evening in pleasant company and an opportunity to try all sorts of foods and wines and find what suits their personal taste. You don't have to be knowledgeable about food or wine and you don't have to be able to detect gooseberries in a Sauvignon Blanc. There is never any pressure to buy anything and we don't disclose members' details to third parties. We try to keep a balance between tastings where wine is the main focus, and events where food figures large. We are a non-profit society; our officers and committee give their time free and pay the same admission prices for events as other members.
